Helicopter Ice Fisher

Privacy Policy

Last updated: 1 September 2026

This Privacy Policy explains what Helicopter Ice Fisher (“the App”, “we”, “us”) does with information when you use it on your iPhone or iPad. We built the App so that the game itself runs on your device, and we keep the amount of information that leaves it as small as we can.

The short version. No account, no sign-up, no name, no address. Your progress and your photos stay on your device. We do not sell your data and we do not share it with advertisers.

1. Information we do not collect

2. Information that stays on your device

Game progress

Your charters, ratings, logbook, catches, licences, settings and every other piece of game state are written to the App’s own private storage on your device. They are not uploaded to us. Deleting the App removes them.

Camera and photo library

Several parts of the game can read a photograph: the Sky Board builds a flight brief from a picture of the sky, the Catch Slate photographs a fish, and you can choose a livery palette or a pilot ticket portrait from an image.

3. Information the App sends

The App contacts our server for a small number of technical purposes. What is sent is listed here in full:

DataWhy
Installation identifier A random identifier generated on your device the first time the App runs. It is not your Apple ID, not your device serial number, and it is not linked to your identity. It lets us tell one installation from another for technical delivery and diagnostics. It is regenerated if you delete and reinstall the App.
Device and software information Device model class (iPhone or iPad), operating system version and the standard browser user agent string, so that content is delivered in a form your device can render.
Technical request data IP address and request time, which are part of any internet connection and are handled by our hosting provider for security, abuse prevention and error diagnosis.

This information is processed on the basis of our legitimate interest in operating, securing and maintaining the App (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR).

4. Service providers

We use a small number of third-party providers to run the App. They process data only on our instructions and only for the purposes described above:

5. How long we keep information

6. Security

Every request the App makes is sent over an encrypted HTTPS connection. Data on your device is protected by iOS itself and by the App’s private storage container, which other apps cannot read. No system is perfect, but we limit risk by simply not collecting information we do not need.

7. Children

The App is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. The App requires no account and no personal details to play. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us and we will delete it.

8. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete or export the information relating to you, to object to or restrict its processing, and to lodge a complaint with your data protection authority. Because we hold no account and no name, the practical steps are these:

If you are in California, we confirm that we do not sell or share personal information as those terms are defined by the CCPA/CPRA, and we will not discriminate against you for exercising any right.

9. International transfers

Our providers may process data on servers outside your country, including in the United States. Where that happens, transfers are covered by the safeguards those providers offer, such as the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses.

10. Changes to this policy

If we change how the App handles information, we will update this page and the “last updated” date above. Material changes will be announced in the App or in the release notes of the update that introduces them.

11. Contact

Questions about privacy, or a request about your data: [email protected]. You can also use the support page. We answer within 30 days.
